Parque de la Paloma

This week, Hotel Florida Spa recommends you to visit Parque de la Paloma.

This beautiful green area opened in 1995 , it is localed in the neighbour town of Benalmádena and it is considered as one of the best and most visited parks in Costa del Sol due to its beauty and its charm.

Parque de la Paloma covers a big area of land and it has an artificial lake in its centre, leisure and relax areas and some cafés.

The park is also home to a wide range of animals. Some of them walk around free like peacocks, hens, chicks and rabbits, while some others like ostriches or Spanish ibexes are kept behind a fence.

In addition to this, the lake is home of swans, seagulls, ducks, turtles and fish of a large size.

It also has numerous trees like eucalyptus, palm trees, cypresses and a cactus garden with more than 450 different species. Beside the cactus garden there is a sculpture with a beautiful poem written by the Spanish poet Pablo García Baena.

There is not doubt that Parque de la Paloma is a different kind of park, it has a great atmosphere and it is a beautiful place to be in contact with nature while you have a nice walk. The best thing about this park is that its entry is free of charge and it is open daily from 9 A.M to 10 P.M.

The access to Benalmádena from Fuengirola in public transport is really good, as you can get there either by train (from Fuengirola train station) or by bus (from Fuengirola bus station).

Follow our recommendation and visit this beautiful park, we are sure that you will enjoy like a child! We would love you to share your comments about it on Facebook.
