New year’s resolution: Power walking

After a fantastic Christmas during which we have had lots of fun and treats it is time to stop and focus on our New Year’s Resolutions.

Among our resolutions many of us have leading a much healthier life, which implies to eat better and healthier and to do more sports.

We might want to exercise but if we are not fit enough maybe going running or to spending hours at the gym is far too challenging which would mean we could get demotivated and lose interest quite soon.

At any case the best thing to do is to start little by little with light exercises.

Although running is quite trendy nowadays walking is much lighter, and it is also quite good for our health.

When walking becomes training, this is known as Power walking.

When we do power walking our posture, breathing and motion are very important factors.

The best thing is to do non-stop session between 45 and 60-minute-long and do about 5 kilometres and a half at medium-high intensity as this will help us burn around 400 calories.

By simply doing this our respiratory and cardiovascular system will get better and our muscles will tone up.
