Exhibition: 50th Anniversary of the Apollo (1969 – 2019)

This year is the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing, and because of this the Mijas Council has had the great idea of organising an exhibition to commemorate this important historic moment.

This interesting exhibition is held in the Tourist Office of Mijas Pueblo, it opened on the 8th of July, and it can be visited free of charge until Monday, the 30th of September.

Its opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 09:00 a 20:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a 14:00.

New exhibition in CAC Mijas

Last week here on the blog of Hotel Florida Spa we told you about the fantastic International Festival here in Fuengirola.

Today our blog is about art instead as right now there is a very interesting exhibition in CAC Mijas.

It is called “La incorporeidad del Color” ( “The nonphysicality of colour”) it includes paintings by artist Enrique Delgado and can get visited until Wednesday, the 29th of May.  

CAC Mijas is a very popular museum in Costa del Sol. Its regular entry price to access all facilities of the museum is 3 euros, and the price for groups and over 65s is only 2 euros.

The museum is in the centre of Mijas Pueblo, in calle Malaga, and it is open Monday to Saturday from 10 P.M to 6 P.M.

Gourmet route in Mijas

As you know at Hotel Florida Spa we love good food, so this week on our blog we would like to recommend you an excellent gourmet route organised by the Mijas Council.  

This gourmet route started on the 15th of March and will be on until Sunday the 14th  of Abril, from 12:30 P.M to 3:00 P.M and from 7:00 to 11:00 P.M

8 well-known restaurants in Mijas Pueblo participate in this route (Latitud 36, Bodega del Pintor, Alboka Gastro, Koko Café, Chemas Terrace, Restaurante Fiesta, La Cucina di Nico, y Restaurante Triana). For a fixed price of 19 euros per person each of these restaurants offer a full menu that consists of a starter, a main dish, a dessert and half a bottle of wine.  

A gourmet passport will be given to those who order the gourmet menus. The passports will have to be handed in at the tourist office of Mijas or La Cala before the 30th of April, for a chance to win a five-day cruise for two people departing from Malaga.

If you love tasting new things, you have the fortune to be on holiday with us and you were also planning to visit Mijas, we certainly recommend you give a try to this superb gourmet route.
