CAC Mijas: Picasso and Dalí

02Sep

If you are currently on holiday at Hotel Florida Spa, your hotel in Fuengirola,  and you are passionate about art we recommend you not to miss the opportunity to see some of the works of 2 of the most important Spanish artists ever: Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali.

CAC Mijas is currently housing 2 amazing and unique exhibitions about these great 2 artists: an exhibition with pottery by Picasso and a temporary exhibition till the 23rd of October by Dali that contains an illustration made in 1965 by Dali about Dante’s Divine Comedy.

This was one of Dali’s most important projects as he prepared more than 100 watercolours about this classic of the Italian literature.

About the pottery by Picasso, this is a permanent exhibition that is well worth a visit as not many people know that Picasso apart from being a superb painter was also a great ceramist.

CAC Mijas is in the centre of Mijas Pueblo, in calle Malaga. It is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 till 18:00 and its entrance price is only 3 € or 2 € for over 65s.

Make the most of your holiday to walk along the beautiful streets of Mijas and to visit its Contemporary Art Centre.

As you can see in the Costa del Sol you cannot only enjoy our great weather but also our great art!!
