The open-air cinema is back in Fuengirola

22heinä

Did you know that the free of charge open-air cinema is coming back to Fuengirola?

This is the 8th year in a row that this great event, organised by the Fuengirola Council together with Miramar Shopping Centre, takes place as since it started it has been very well received not only by locals but also by visitors.

The novelty this year is that the Open-Air Cinema will not be at the beach of Los Boliches, but in the Marenostrum Music Castle Park venue, right by the Sohail Castle.

For summer 2019 the 4 chosen films are the following:

Monday the 22nd of July at 10:00 P.M.: “Spiderman, A New Universe”

Tuesday the 23rd of July at 10:00 P.M.: “Campeones”

Monday the 12th of August at 10:00 P.M.: “Tad, the Lost Explorer and The Secret of King Midas”

Tuesday the 13th of August at 10:00 P.M.: “El mejor verano de mi vida”

As you see all these films are family oriented and suitable for all, so if you are currently on holiday at Hotel Florida Spa and you fancy spending a fantastic evening outdoors watching a film, we recommend you not to miss Fuengirola’s awesome open-air cinema.

This is one the reasons why we say that our town is as fantastic as those in the movies!

Nativity Scenes in Fuengirola

31joulu

This week on the blog of Hotel Florida Spa, your hotel in Fuengirola, we bring you a very special and Christmassy recommendation.

For the second year in a row the Fuengirola Council has organised an adorable exhibition that includes Nativity scenes made by children from 12 local schools using recycled materials.

The exhibition called “My School Nativity Scene 2“is free to visit from Tuesday to Sunday till the 13th of January, and it is on display in Museo Ciudad de Fuengirola.

In Museo Ciudad de Fuengirola, besides seeing the fun nativity scenes created by children, you will also be able to enjoy a small exhibition that contains different nativity scenes owned by doctor Jose Manuel Garcia Verdugo.

If you are a big fan of Nativity scenes, once you visit Museo Ciudad de Fuengirola, we recommend you go to Plaza de Los Reyes Catolicos, as this is where Fuengirola’s official Nativity Scene is placed for the third year in a row.

Fuengirola’s official nativity scene is in the middle of the square inside a big glass box, so it can be visited any day at any time.

We hope you enjoy Christmas in Fuengirola!

Art exhibition in Casa de la Cultura

12marras

Last week here on the blog of Hotel Florida Spa, your hotel in Fuengirola, we recommended you not to miss the fantastic handcraft market that is on in Mijas every Wednesday.

Today we would like to inform you about another great plan, though this time is about art as it is a great free exhibition.

The exhibition is called “Cu4tro” ( “Four4”) as this is the number of well known artists based in Fuengirola that participate in it: Charo García, Dora López, Paco Pérez y Julio Sevillano.

“Cu4atro” is on display in the exhibition room of Casa de la Cultura of Fuengirola, in Fuengirola town centre and can get visited from Monday to Friday till the 20th of November, from 09:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

If right now you are on holiday at Hotel Florida Spa, and in your spare time you enjoy visiting art exhibitions, we are sure you will really like this great free one.

As you know, there is always something interesting to do here!
