A letter from Management – Covid19

25Mar

Dear guests,

For the first time we are obliged to close our hotels to contribute in stopping the coronavirus pandemic from spreading. The Royal Decree Law 463/2020, of the 14th of March, has been extended and now contemplates that hotels must also remain closed during the state of emergency. We understand this is a hard decision that had to be made to ensure or team and guests health above all.

The state of emergency is currently in place until the 12th of April. We are in constant comunication with the authorities to follow the instruccions given, hopping this will end as soon as posible so we can welcome you back at our hotels Angela, Yaramar and Florida Spa.

We would like to express our gratitude to our employees, who have handled this hard situation with the profesionalism and care that they have always shown and to our guests for their understanding and trust. We send our condolences to those who have lost a loved one and our strength to the doctors and authorities that are working so hard for all of us.

Although we must remain closed, we continue working to give the best of ourselves as soon as the situation comes back to normal. We would like to thank all our guests that are having to modify their reservations for their patience. Our reservations team remains at your service for any questions or future reservations.

We look foward to seeing you soon and remember meanwhile we can keep in touch on Facebook. We are certain that we can beat this situation all together and come out even stronger.

Exhibition about Toulouse-Lautrec in Museo Carmen Thyssen

09Mar

This week the blog of Hotel Florida Spa is all about art as we would like to recommend you a fantastic exhibition currently on in the capital of Costa del Sol.

From the 21st of February till the 9th of June Museo Carmen Thyssen holds an interesting exhibition called “Toulouse-Lautrec and the circus”.

As we pointed out in the past when we mentioned this museum, Museo Carmen Thyssen is based in a beautiful old building right in the heart of Malaga. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M and its entry price depends on if you only want to see the temporary exhibition or both, temporary and permanent. What is constant is the fact every Sunday from 5:00 P.M its entry is free.

The exhibition we mentioned above, called “Toulouse-Lautrec” is a temporary one that offers its visitors the possibility to discover the fascinating drawings made by the artist using coloured pencils during a short period of convalescence in a sanatorium in Paris.

If you really like art and you are planning to stay with us shortly, we recommend you go to visit the Thyssen Museum to enjoy this superb exhibition.

Enjoy art in Costa del Sol!

9th Edition of La Cazuela de la Abuela

02Mar

The weather here might be absolutely brilliant, but it is winter after all, so there is nothing better than having some lovely comfort food, and this is why Fuengirola organizes the popular food route called “La Cazuela de la Abuela” around this time of year.

This year in fact will be its 9th edition and many local bars and restaurants will participate in it. From Friday the 6th till Sunday the 22nd of March they all will offer a delicious casserole and a drink (glass of wine, beer, soft drink or water) for only 2,50€.

As in the past 8 years, the Rivera Beach Club, which belongs to our sister hotel Hotel Yaramar, will also participate this year with a tasty bean and seafood casserole that has tomato, peppers, garlic, beans, squid, mussels and langoustinesas main ingredients… It sounds lovely, right?

If you are currently on holiday in Hotel Florida Spa, your hotel in Fuengirola, and love Spanish food we certainly recommend you to try the new amazing casserole chef Salvador from the Rivera Beach Club has prepared for you all this year and to vote for it!

We also would like to wish Salvador best of luck and hope becomes a finalist as in some of the past editions!
